A GOOD YEAR SO FAR

This year so far has been ,busy , fun , and very enjoyable ,I started off the year with a run
up to Rotherham to visit Colin Scott on the first KGT Sunday pub meet on March 1st at The Station,
Alwarke Lane ,Rotherham , there were 4 of us there and a nice Pub , I'm sure that
Colin will keep this up for next year as it keeps us, as a group , various places and different
dates for us all to keep in touch throughout the year.
My next trip was to Jack Hills Cafe, Towcester, this one organised by Derek Kelly a few more of
us there, and there was a Vintage bike show on the forecourt of the Cafe to-boot as usual a good
chat ensued and then the ride home , of cause it had to happen it p***ed with rain nearly all
the way back home but still a good day lets hope that Colin and Derek will continue this for next year.
not the rain but the meets !!!!
The next trip was to Scotland for the Offshore weekend at the Isle of Whithorn,1-4 May for those including me that have not been on one of these weekends before then you are missing out on one hell of a weekend,
I am sold on it now and where ever Ian Donnelly decides next year I'm in , fantastic biking ,hotel , food, and the KGTers that were there , Ian obviously did a lot of work on the whole weekend thanks Ian.
My latest weekend was the BMF weekend , Peterborough , just about 7 miles from my doorstep,
15,16,17 May . Steve Burrows has purchased a new marquee and banners for the club and what a
superb beauty it is ,as it is so much better than what we had , very good turn out for us as we had
12 bikes on the stand and only 3 were none shaft yes we did have some proverbial rain , but not
enough to dampen spirits , basically this weekend is a good way for us to meet , camp , view bikes,
jumble , clothing , and be entertained for free .
That's all for now the next venue is Uttoxeter Race course for the Japanese Vintage weekend which is
well worth a visit if you are interested contact Steve Burrows.
All the very best to you all and be safe
Chairman Patrick.
