Yes, indeed.
Now that Summer is with us it’s time to break out those Kodaks and Konicas,
Nikons and Minoltas – its time for the KGT Photo Competition, with a range of
prizes. Just send Steve Burrows or I copies of your bike themed photos and
we’ll remove the perverted or obscene and get a professional photographer to
help us sort out the top few for you to vote for as the winners. Chairman
Patrick will no doubt be keeping the perverted and obscene for the club
records. The best pictures will be put onto the club stand at the Stafford Show
and into a copy of Shaft. Tell us your winner and the prizes will be sent out
to the lucky photographers. So what can you win ? Well, a camera or vouchers to
the same value. Or maybe some fine Scottish beef, lamb or fish from Donald
Russell or a selection of wines from Laithewaites the vintners. Or a track day.
The winner will get to choose their prize from a list of booty. But fear not,
there will be prizes for more than just the winner and we’re not offering just
a KGT badge or key ring, though they are highly desirable – see the list inside
the back page of Shaft for details. All we ask is that the pictures are
original and yours and can be shown on the club stand or in Shaft. A biking
theme would help, as would a few words of explanation. Tell us if you’re under
18, give us your name and address or contact details. Let us have digital copies
of your pictures or paper copies only please, we don’t want to risk damaging
originals. Have a great Summer.
